The European Association of Banking and Financial Law – Romania (AEDBF Romania) is the Romanian branch of the European AEDBF network, founded in Paris in 1988.
AEDBF Romania was established in 2009 at the initiative of the late legal practitioner and law professor Ianfred Silberstein. Over the years, the association has organized numerous high-level scientific events in the legal field, publishes the Journal of Banking and Financial Law, and plays an active role in bringing together academic and professional expertise in this specialized area.
In a world where banking law is written (almost) faster than it can be read, AEDBF Romania remains a space for reflection, connection, and excellence – with precision, but also with heart.
The activity of AEDBF Romania is a genuine expression of professionalism, commitment, and continuity in the field of banking and financial law in Eastern Europe.
Since its establishment, the Romanian branch has distinguished itself through scientific rigor, academic initiative, and a constant openness to European dialogue. Its members are an integral part of relevant legal debates at both regional and EU level, actively contributing to the creation of a stable and forward-looking common legal space.
As former President of AEDBF Europe, I extend my sincere appreciation to the Romanian team and wholeheartedly support the present and future initiatives of this organization, which honors, through excellence and dedication, the values of the European legal community
